2WD Short Course Class

Chassis

1.       Modifications of any type to the chassis plate,  receiver box, battery brace and related parts are not allowed.

2.       The battery must be placed in the battery tray. The foam battery spacer may be placed behind or in front of the battery when using a 6-cell battery pack, or removed when using a 7-cell battery pack.  Cutting or otherwise modifying the spacer is not allowed.

3.       The side nerf bars, front and rear bumpers, skidplates and body mounts may not be removed or modified.  (THERE MAY BE AN EXTRA SCREW ADDED TO THE REAR BUMPER TO BETTER SECURE IT.)

Suspension

4.       Modifications of any type to the suspension arms, shocks, shock towers, hub carriers and related parts are allowed but must not change the foot print of the truck.

5.       All shock pistons must be used in their factory positions and may not be modified.  The  Aluminum Shock Caps (2667 ALUMINUM SHOCK CAPS) are legal and after market shocks will be allowed but must be for the short course truck.

6.       When refilled for maintenance, the shocks may be filled with any weight shock fluid.  The shocks must be properly filled with oil.

7.       Front toe-in and front and rear camber may be adjusted within the travel range of the factory turnbuckles and rod ends.

Drive Train

8.   Modifications to the gearbox, transmission gears, slipper clutch, driveshafts and bearings are not allowed.

9.   Each track must set a pinion rule based on what is best for the individual track.  All racers must run the specified gear.  Gears must be made available for inspection if requested by other racers or race officials.  Spur and pinion gears are to be original manufacturers.

10.   The differential may not be locked or modified in any why.

Body, Wheels and Tires

11.   The factory tires and wheels will  be allowed and after market tire that are made for the short course trucks.

12.  Factory rims and after market rims made for the short course trucks will be allowed.

13.   Softening compounds or other traction aids may not be used.

14.   A short course body or aftermarket body specifically sold for the short course truck must be used and may not be modified in any way other than the addition of decals or paint.  The body must be mounted using the factory body posts.  The body must be trimmed using the factory trim lines, and may not be modified in any way other than the addition of decals and paint.

Electronics

15   The original brushed motor from the manufacturer is the only motor legal. If your truck did not include motor and ESC a brushed 12T motor and ESC can be used.  Motor and ESC must be from same manufacturer.

16.   Aftermarket transmitters, receivers, and servos may be used.

17.   Motor and Esc connectors may be changed or eliminated.

18.   The motor’s label must be intact.  Motor modifications of any type are not allowed.

19.   Piezoelectric gyroscopes or other stability-enhancing electronic devices are not allowed.

Transponder

20.   The transponder must be mounted beneath the body, either on the body itself or on the chassis plate.

Batteries

21.   NIMH, NICD 6 or 7 cell packs are allowed.

22.   Lipo 2S are allowed and must add weight in the battery box only to equal the 7 cell weight.

Replacement Parts

23.   Only  original replacement parts may be used or aftermarket parts specifically noted in these rules.

24.   The following  upgrade parts are legal:   aluminum shock caps, RPM gear cover, Alum. shocks from manufacturer, Lexon underbody by Proline or other manufacturer, mud flaps.

     SPECIAL NOTE - Pinion and spur gear size will be drivers choice but must be the original manufacturers pinions and spur gears.

 

                                                       

                                                    4WD Short Course Class 

This class will be stock out of the box 4 wheel drive short course truck.

The stock brushless motor and esc will be used. If your 4 wheel drive short course truck does not come with motor and esc from manufacturer you can use down to a 13.5 brushless motor and esc as long as both are from the same manufacturer.

Aluminum steering blocks

Aluminum C-hubs

Aluminum rear hub carriers

Front and rear sway bars

Big Bore aluminum shocks

Center differential

Tires and wheels that are made for the short course truck
